Description |
Colonized by the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Normans, Sicilians, Spanish, Knights of St. John, the French, and the British, Malta is a smorgasbord of influences! What better way to see this tiny Mediterranean archipelago than through its incredible food? Indulge in Maltese cuisine, which is very similar to other Mediterranean cuisines and is a result of the long relationship between the locals and the many civilizations who occupied the Malta throughout history. Traditional Maltese food is very rustic and relies on local items like rabbit, honey, tomatoes, and olives. On this vacation, you will have the opportunity to sample some of Malta’s traditional cuisine, locally produced wines, and other items. Helpful links for travel to Malta: |
Our 4 day trip runs from Arzua/Ribadiso to the Cathedral of Santiago through medieval towns, meadows, quaint Galician hamlets, past rivers and eucalyptus forests. It is the perfect Camino for those short of time and who would like a ‘taste’ of the experience before embarking on a longer route. This section is well signposted and has a good range of services (cafes, restaurants etc) for rest breaks. Please note: You will not be entitled to receive a Compostela as you need to walk a minimum of 100km. |
