You'll visit Akureyri, Often referred to as the "Capital of the North," Akureyri is Iceland's second largest city, and provides a natural base for exploring the region’s stunning natural surroundings – with green pastures, fishing villages, mudpots, waterfalls, ski fields, and whale-filled bays. It won't be long until you find yourself standing in front of the striking Godafoss waterfall or bathing in a natural hot spring at the Myvatn Nature Baths. You’ll travel around the legendary Lake Myvatn with views of pseudo-craters and the lava pillars at Dimmuborgir. Experience the boiling mud pools, steaming fumaroles and sulphur pits at the geothermal area of Hverir and travel in comfort to craters and volcanoes. |
