Your safari will start from the hotel or the airport. You will drive off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect chimp trekking in the impressive Kyambura Gorge plus boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. After exploring Queen, you will exit for Bwindi through the Isasha area for tree-climbing lions sighting. In Bwindi, you will enjoy the ultimate gorilla experience then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and sightseeing. Thereafter, you exit for Entebbe Airport. |
Day 1 & 2: Entebbe & Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda

Upon arrival transfer by plane and 4x4 to your lodge in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy an informative walk around the crater. On Day 2, view the birdlife in the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, visit the Bunyangabu Beekeepers Cooperative, and enjoy meeting weavers at the Rubona Basket Weavers Association.
Day 3 – 5: Kibale Forest National Park & Queen Elizabeth National Park

Track families of chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys and 10 other primate species. Next, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and spend the next two days exploring the savanna along the Kazinga Channel, cruise the Kazinga Channel and tour salty Lake Katwe, learn about the people of Kikorongo village, participate in traditional weaving, and view an energetic cultural performance. On Day 5 you will stay in a remote Ishasha wilderness camp beside the Ntungwe River.
Day 6–8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

On Day 6, enjoy an early morning game drive into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Take a walk to meet the people of Buhoma Mukono Community Development Association and the Batwa Pygmies. Spend the next two days on an incredible gorilla-tracking experience. Some of the terrain is steep and hiking strenuous, but the reward of watching gorillas undisturbed in their natural habit is unmatched.
Day 9&10: Entebbe & Depart for Home

Transfer to the local airstrip for a morning flight to Entebbe on Day 9. In the afternoon, view the monkeys and exotic birdlife at the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, then tour the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, a conservation and education institution. Enjoy a Chimpanzee Close Up experience which allows you to interact with young chimps. On Day 10, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home or on to your next destination.

We hope that your flight is scheduled for an early (not past 10am) landing in Entebbe. Your safari will start from Entebbe International Airport where the assigned driver-guide will receive you and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park - one of Uganda's most frequented tourist destinations. The park features diverse ecosystems called home by a variety of wildlife species - ten primate species (including chimpanzees), more than 600 bird species, and classic big games. You will stop for lunch en route then proceed into the beautiful Queen Elizabeth NP, arriving lateafternoon (evening) and do little but just check into the accommodation and relax.
Day 2: Morning chimp tracking Kyambura Gorge and afternoon (evening) game drive.

Be up early, have breakfast and proceed for the Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge. The gorge is home to habituated Chimpanzees plus other primates including baboons, monkeys and also bird species. Today, you will spend the early part of the day tracking chimpanzees here. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch go out for an afternoon (evening) game viewing and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Alternatively, you could choose to go for a 2-hour boat trip (at an extra USD 30 pp) on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. Return to the accommodation for relaxation, dinner and the overnight stay.
Day 3: Exit Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi with en-route game viewing in the Ishasha.

Drive Time: 5-6 hours.
Have breakfast then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park - famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular! Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, sightseeing.

Drive Time: Approx. 2-3 hours.
Have breakfast and move to the rangers' post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don'ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green- terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it's the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.
Day 5: Depart Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.
