"The tour had an excellent itinerary and activities, giving a broad overview of Peru - we loved it. Accommodations (with one exception) were great, and all had an included breakfast buffet. The tour's included activities (e.g. cooking class, pisco tour and tasting, potato park, boat tour of Isla Ballestas) were terrific. Appreciated the two included flights which saved a lot of driving time. Logistics were handled, and everything was smooth and easy (thanks to our CEO, Mary Chu!)."

His passions for history, biology, music, and language specifically shine through. He speaks beautiful English and all the local languages of Berber language, Moroccan Arabic, and French (as well as others such as German!). He loves answering questions and learning more to better his tour guide skill set. On top of all that he has a great sense of humour and is quite the showman when it comes to song and dance! "I had purchased a Greek Island trip with Roads Scholar for the end of October 2022. I did not purchase travel insurance until after I fell playing pickleball and broke my pelvis, wrist, and sacrum. I purchased the insurance past the deadline and they still accepted it! I felt I could still do the trip as it was over 2 months away. I felt I might need some health protection while I was there. Then it started to become obvious that I could not do this trip…it would become too risky for me! So I cancelled the trip. The company had at least 1 1/2 to 2 months to fill that slot of mine with someone else. I asked for credit for another trip and they refused as it was past the deadline. They have not given me credit for another trip. I feel that under the circumstances that it would be good customer service to at least give me some credit for another trip. They have $6400 of my money that I never got to use."

"BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has a policy that if THEY cancel your trip…THEY get to keep your money and you get a credit the company. They cancelled my first trip..found out the hard way about their policy. Booked a trip…then had left over money so booked another…which they cancelled…again. Surprisingly…this time they offered a refund, but only gave me back the money I had put down…not what was left of “my credit”. So now I am forced to do business with a company I no longer wish to, that picks and chooses when to follow their own policy!! There are plenty of other travel agencies with similar tours…don’t give these guys your hard earned money for them to keep."

  • This trip’s got it all. history? how about 11,000 years of it. culture? oh, just incredible architecture, food and music. scenery? city, beach and the desert. what more could you want?!
  • Only petra’s treasury is stunning enough to be the temple of the holy grail (well, according to indiana jones at least), and you’ll be blown away on a full day exploring the majesty and mystery of this world wonder
  • Kick back in our central hostel in jerusalem, complete with movie room and rooftop
  • Sample tasty local eats at the very cool machane yehuda market where you can use your your bite card at any of the vendors.

  • The pyramids might be hyped, but when you see them you’ll soon be saying oh mummy, i see the point (sorry).
  • Set sail on a felucca cruise along the nile. back in the day, these wooden boats had zero facilities, but our new pimped-out boat has western-style toilets on board.
  • Our guides are local and know all the best secret and hidden places to check out after a day of sightseeing
  • Only petra’s treasury is stunning enough to be the temple of the holy grail (well, according to indiana jones at least), and you’ll be blown away on a full day exploring the majesty and mystery of this world wonder.
